Join Homegrown Yoga on an amazing, dream-come true journey to Tuscany. Stay with a friendly group of people in a charming 800-year-old villa located on a working organic farm nestled in the rolling hills of Tuscany just 11 km from Siena and 42 from Florence. All levels of yoga practitioners are welcome and encouraged to come, from beginners to seasoned practitioners.
Each day wake up to the sounds, sights, smells, and textures of Tuscany while either exploring a new yoga practice or deepening your existing practice. Enjoy two daily yoga classes, yummy Tuscan style vegetarian meals, daily excursions to quaint castle towns, a day at the beach and hot springs, traditional Tuscan cooking class, and a wine tour of the Chianti classico region. This is your chance to ignite your love of yoga and passion for Italy. Walk the cobble stone streets of Sienna, pop in a small shop to enjoy a gelato or take home a fine piece of Italian clothing! Your daily yoga practice will heighten your senses and sensibilities, fully illuminating the brilliance of your life and heaven here on earth. Return home, refreshed, renewed and ready for more. Namaste!
Yoga:
Our daily yoga classes will begin each morning with yoga postures (asana) and breathing practices (pranayama). Each class will gently awaken our bodies, minds and souls to the pulse of life in Italy. After a day of exploring some of Tuscan’s most coveted sites, we will return to our mats to integrate and share our experiences through yoga, friendship and community. Yoga classes will be led by Laura Collins. The style of yoga taught is Integral Yoga with a Vinyasa Flow flare. What is integral Yoga? Integral yoga is a comprehensive yoga style combining the elements of chanting, asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), deep relaxation, and meditation . But rather than teaching a traditional integral yoga class of doing the same sequence of postures each time, a vinyasa flow is offered using integral yoga elements, guiding you through a variety of yoga postures to keep it interesting and organic – homegrown style.
Organic Farm:
The location for our seven night yoga retreat is Ebbio, a charming 800 year old rustic Italian villa and renowned working organic farm oozing with charm, animals, and vineyards, exemplifying the simple life unique to Italian culture which has been cultivated through the centuries. Ebbio is a one-of-a-kind experience offering just enough modern conveniences for your comfort while maintaining authentic Tuscan style.
Three delicious organic meals are included and prepared daily using freshly picked produce right from the farm. You have never tasted vegetables so good! Complimentary house wine and espresso are also available.
Accomodations are dormitory style (2-5 persons), plus a few double rooms for couples, all with shared bath. All accommodation is at Podere Ebbio, Tuscany, Italy. www.ebbio.com | Ebbio Facebook
